Copper as an investment is a nonsense!! There are those in NZ who belive this base metal is 'precious', 'bullion' and an investment vehicle. This is somewhat concerning if these sentiments are swaying the uninitiated to fork out mountains of money for what is essentially a novelty metal.

The opening up of the market in NZ for personal access to copper means demanding the likes of $20/oz or $200-400 for 1kg of copper are disproportionate to the realities of the market and the assertion the majority of this cost is due to the manufacturing process is less than accurate. The majority of the high price in New Zealand for copper appears to be added at the last point of travel; the retailer.

We denounce any assertion copper is the new precious, is an investment vehicle or a sound investment. However if you are after a small novelty or collectibily holding then that is likely where this base metal sits. To save your soul we offer you fairly priced access to small amounts if for no other reason than to have you avoid the circa $20 plus shipping an oz will cost you. We acknowledge there are different views on copper and that is ok, one view will cost you extraordinarily more and the other view, ours, will not.
